Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie bowl literally tastes like dessert for breakfast! You can’t go wrong with chocolate first thing in the morning! I’m not talking about chocolate that’s full of sugar – I’m talking about chocolate in it’s raw, pure form – cacao. The health benefits of raw cacao are endless, but to name a few, it improves heart health, lowers insulin resistance, protects against free radical damage and improves mood.
This smoothie bowl is also packed with healthy protein and fat from the peanut butter. The banana and date are what make the bowl sweet – there is no added sugar.
I love adding toppings that give the bowl a nice crunch – such as this cacao crunch granola, cacao nibs and coconut flakes.
