Smoothie bowls are pretty much the most genius idea ever. They are pretty to look at, taste like sorbet (but creamier and better), are healthy, packed with nutrients and are filling. I have been making acai bowls for years, but in the past year I began experimenting with other types of smoothie bowl creations.
This smoothie bowl is made with all-natural ingredients and no added sugar is needed because the berries and banana make the smoothie sweet. The chia seeds and almond butter add a dose of healthy fat and the maca will give you a caffeine-free energy burst. The protein will keep you full and satisfied for hours. This is one of my favorite smoothie bowls to make!

- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 1 minutes
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ½ cup organic frozen mixed berries
- 1 frozen banana (cut in pieces)
- 1 tbsp raw, vegan protein powder (I used unsweetened)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp raw almond butter
- 1 tsp maca
- Toppings: granola and fresh berries
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. The consistency should be pretty thick. If it is difficult to blend, add another 1/4 cup almond milk.
- Pour/spoon the mixture into a bowl and top with granola and fresh berries. I also added some hemp seeds and coconut flakes.
