Yesterday on the blog I shared my morning skincare routine, so today I wanted to share my nighttime skincare routine. As mentioned yesterday, I use different products in the morning and nighttime. Here is my typical nighttime routine: a nourishing cleanser, followed by a toner and then a night cream or oil (some people use both, but I switch off between one or the other). Below are my favorite non-toxic skincare products that I use on my face before I go to bed.
Cleansers & Facial Scrubs:
I am a huge fan of Avalon Organics wrinkle therapy cleansing milk with CoQ10 & Rosehip. I also love Sumbody detox cleanser with charcoal for deep pore cleansing. About twice a week I do a scrub to get all the dead skin off my face and love Avalon Organics Enzyme Scrub.
I usually don’t use a toner in the morning, but prefer to use one at night to get any extra residue or makeup off my face. I find it evens my complexion and brightens my skin. I absolutely love Avalon Organics hydrating toner with lavender and prebiotics – the scent of lavender is so calming and perfect for nighttime. I’m also obsessed with Cocokind Organic Rosewater Facial Toner. I switch off between these two every other night.
I switch of between using a night cream and oil after using my toner. When using a cream I love Avalon Organics wrinkle therapy night cream with CoQ10 and rosehip. It’s a rich cream that smells amazing and helps to promote the growth of collagen and elastin overnight.
Facial Oils & Serums:
If my skin is feeling dry I opt for an oil instead of the night cream. I have three different facial oils that I’m absolutely obsessed with! I love Cocokind organic chia facial oil (it truly makes my skin glow), Osea Malibu essential hydrating oil and Franklin & Whitman face serum with argan oil, rosehip seed oil and pomegranate seed oil. You can get 20% off any Franklin & Whitman product using code LEAHSPLATE (+ free shipping in the U.S.)
If I ever break out or have any acne (luckily it finally started going away when I turned 30), I use Cocokind turmeric spot treatment stick. I leave it on all night and definitely notice an improvement in my blemishes by the morning 🙂
For any areas that are extra dry or flakey I use Zoe Organics everything balm as well as their organic skin balm. Both are such versatile products that can be used on basically anything! The everything balm makes my lips super soft and I swear both balms have helped to clear up my eczema!
It’s so important to moisturize your lips before bed at night. My lips always seem to get very dry throughout the night, so applying a shield of moisture over them keeps them soft and prevents chapping. I love Zoe Organics everything balm (above) for my lips. I also am a big fan of Pangea Organics lavender lip balm as well as Wedderspoon lavender chapstick with manuka honey (the scent of lavender is so soothing)!
About once a week (a Sunday night ritual) I use a face mask. It makes me feel like I’m at a spa getting a facial and sets a calming tone for the week ahead. Face masks also leave my skin feeling extra pure, revitalized, nourished and soft. My two favorite masks are Cocokind organic chlorophyll face mask and Franklin & Whitman face mask with matcha green tea, activated charcoal and pomegranate. Again, make sure to use my code LEAHSPLATE for 20% off any Franklin & Whitman products + free shipping in the U.S. 🙂
There you have it – those are my favorite products that I swear by! If you try any of them definitely let me know what you think!
