No Bake Almond Butter Oat Energy Balls
Does anyone else experience the ‘3pm slump?’ I certainly do!! I seriously get STARVING every day at 3pm, no matter how big of a lunch I had. I’ve been in such a snack rut lately. I haven’t felt satisfied after my afternoon snack, or am bored of what I’ve been eating.
Yesterday while Emma was napping I ran to the kitchen for my snack (this seems to be a common theme – put baby down for nap… run to kitchen… eat while I can…). I decided to make these easy energy balls. They took 5 minutes to make and don’t require any baking! The ingredients are minimal too: oats, almond butter (or you can use peanut butter), cinnamon, vanilla and almond milk. Trust me and make these – they are SO good and make the best snack.
The combination of carbs from the oats and healthy fat from the almond butter will keep you full and satisfied until dinner. They also make an amazing pre-workout snack!
