Spinach Cashew & Hemp Smoothie Bowl
I think by now everyone knows about my love for smoothie bowls. Sometimes I plan out the recipes and other times I just throw a bunch of ingredients into the blender and hope for the best.
This smoothie bowl was created on a morning that I threw random ingredients into a blender and it ended up being delicious!
The cashews make the smoothie thick and creamy while adding a healthy dose of fats and magnesium (which are necessary for your body to properly digest calcium). The spinach will make your skin glow and gives the smoothie the perfect green color. The banana adds a natural sweetness to the smoothie so you don’t need to add any sugar. The banana will also help thicken the consistency of the smoothie, which is essential in a “smoothie bowl.” The hemp seeds are rich in Omega 3 and Vitamin E and are a great source of protein (and it’s also one of the easiest proteins to digest). Cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. The cinnamon also adds a sweet-spicy flavor.
Serves: 2
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup raw, organic cashews
- 2 handfuls spinach
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 tbsp’s hemp seeds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
- Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into bowls and top with granola and fresh berries. Enjoy!
